What an amazing country. Such a shame Toby and Sarena only had 3 weeks to explore it. Some people love India and some hate it. These two travellers love it but staying with friends in Goa made the experience all the more enjoyable...

...The holly Ganges river
It was a hard journey to get here but Varanassi is the holiest Hindu city in India right on the banks of the Ganges river it is home to the Burning Ghats and many 60's travels who arrived here and have never left. We where here when George Harrison's ashes where bought to be washed in the river. Sarena reckons she saw Julian Lennon sitting on a Ghat. could of been! read diary

...Social Goa and pretty ladies
What a bonus. We find out from a friend in England that one of Sarena's and Toby's old school friend now lives in Goa, Jannine has married David who is a manager within the Marriot hotel chain. Cool, we stayed with them for over a week and took advantage of any perks we could get. The fashion show was fantastic! Thanks very much for looking after us. read diary
