One of Toby and Sarena's favourite countries. The people are so friendly and the countryside beautiful. Good curry too! Some of their best memories where made in Nepal. They where attracted to it so much they changed their plans so that they could stay longer in the country. Toby even managed a side trip to Tibet...

...Trekking to Everest base camp (and raising sponsorship for Nepalese orphans)
What an achievement. Probably the best thing we have ever done. It took 13 days to trek to Everest Base camp and back again. 13 days without a shower is achievement enough but to trek at an altitude of up to 5,000 meters is pretty amazing too. Bloody hard work, but well worth it. We managed to raise nearly £1,000 in sponsorship money for an orphanage in Kathmandu too. Thanks to everyone that sponsored us over the Internet. read diary

...Riding the rapids into the jungle
A 3 day white water rafting experience led us down river pass bloated dead bodies (well one) and into the lowlands of Nepal where the climate turns more tropical and Crocodile, Rhino and Tiger infested jungles rule. oh and mosquitos and all sorts of biting insect thingys! read diary

...On the trail of Buddha
While Sarena took some time to help out at the orphanage in Kathmandu. Toby went on a pilgrimage in a gruelling 7 day drive across the Tibetan plateau from Nepal to Lhasa. He could well claim that he was on the path to Karma and total enlightenment but actually he was on a mission to find a blasted Tibetan Terrier dog in its natural environment.
